This qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of early childhood education settings who work within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. They support the implementation of an approved learning framework, and support children’s well being, learning and development. Depending on the setting, educators may work under direct supervision or autonomously.

We do not have any pre-requisites for this course, we do however ask our students to submit an LL&N assessment (Language, Literacy and Numeracy). This is a short assessment to determine if students will require any additional assistance while studying with us here at QAT.

What is the Certificate 3 Guarantee?
The Certificate 3 Guarantee supports eligible individuals to complete their first post-school certificate III qualification and increase their skills to move into employment, re-enter the workforce or advance their career.
It also supports Queensland’s Year 12 graduates to transition to employment by providing fee-free training in high priority qualifications.
Completion of Year 10 required. Any non school-leavers must have relevant work experience or a qualification that indicate a likely success of course completion.
The program is open to any Queensland resident aged 15 years or over who is no longer at school (with the exception of VET in Schools students) and is an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident (including humanitarian entrants), or a temporary resident with the necessary visa and on the pathway to permanent residency. Prospective students must not have or be enrolled in a certificate 3 level or higher qualification (not including qualifications completed at school and foundation skills training.
To further assist students who may require additional support or core skills related to their course, the Certificate III guarantee program also covers foundational skills including language, literacy and numeracy, in addition to Certificate I and II qualifications which lead onto Certificate III.
